Snoqualmie Falls
Snoqualmie Falls is a 268-foot waterfall about 30 minutes east of Seattle. Near the parking lot is a beautiful view close to the top of the falls. You can take the moderately difficult Snoqualmie Falls trail to get a lower view which is 1.4 miles in total there-and-back, with a steep slope down the hill; then you have to come back up! We were 50/50 on which had the best view. So if you don’t want to take the steep hike, you don’t need to!
Salish Lodge Dining Room
This Lodge began in 1916 as an eight-room inn. It was called The Snoqualmie Falls Lodge until 1988 when it was remodeled. It now has 86 rooms and is called The Salish Lodge. It is famous for its four-course Country Breakfast and ‘Honey From Heaven’ on top of their buttermilk biscuits. This honey is made from bee hives on the property. Their pancakes were quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. I recommend going to the gift shop and getting their pancake mix to enjoy at home! The strawberry jam was also on-point. Get reservations as soon as possible; we made them about a week ahead of time and only had one time-slot option. We requested a view of the falls since it was my birthday, but we did not get so lucky.
