“Bmore Beautiful” Itinerary

My dad’s cousins came into town and they made T-shirts to promote my blog! We had a blast exploring my favorite parts of the city to showcase its BEAUTY. I made an itinerary for our day; you can see it at the bottom of this page if you would like to follow in our footsteps! There’s also a downloadable PDF file of the itinerary beneath it. After looking through it, please take the poll at the bottom of this post to let me know what you think about the itinerary!

Billy and Patty have a camper, and camped at Hollofield Campground in Ellicott City, approximately 20-30 minutes from inner city Baltimore. Don’t these pictures make you want one?! After checking out their portable apartment, I showed them around my beautiful city 🙂

First stop: Federal Hill Park

The view from here is spectacular. You can see the entire Baltimore skyline from above the inner harbor. Then take a brief stroll on Montgomery Street to see the gorgeous historic homes in Federal Hill.

DiPasquales at Harborview

We had lunch at this Italian marketplace on the water near Federal Hill. It has delicious pizza and sandwiches with a view of the harbor.

Under Amour Promenade and the Water Taxi

The promenade offers views of Fells Point, Harbor East, and Canton from the water. From there we took the Water Taxi around to Harbor East.

Harbor East

We explored the Under Armour Brand House for shopping, and the Sandlot: a beach-themed bar on the water.

Fells Point

We walked from The Sandlot to Fells Point and explored the cute shops here. We had a drink at Choptank before heading back on the Water Taxi.

Manor Hill Tavern in Old Ellicott City

We thoroughly soaked in the holiday ambiance in Old Ellicott City. We explored several shops, some of which placed items they are selling outside for safety reasons and to lure people in. Some of our favorite stores are Shoemaker Country, Sweet Elisabeth Jane, Su Casa, and Sunflower Trading Company where I bought my favorite new hat! It wasn’t as crowded as past years, but the holiday cheer was everywhere. We even spotted the Grinch!

Once all of the stores closed at 5pm, we went to Manor Hill Tavern for a warm weekend meal. Their menu has so much to offer but when we saw the brick oven there was no turning back for our taste buds. We ordered two of their brick oven pizzas, a salad, and burger and fries, all of which impressed. Their drink menu was also extensive; I was very pleased with their apple specialty drink. They also serve their own brewed beer: Manor Hill Brewing. It sure was a cozy evening near the oven and with the holiday decor.

Thank you Old Ellicott City! We will be back soon 🙂

The Admiral’s Cup Live Outdoor Music

One of the stops for the Baltimore Water Taxi is Fells Point. It drops you right off at Brown’s Wharf, which is right where the outdoor live music is at The Admiral’s Cup. The live music plays from 3-6PM and 8-11PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

You do not need to get a table to enjoy this music; especially since once the music starts, the seats are filled up pretty quickly. We ordered a to-go drink and sat on the bench along the water. I ordered a Rum Punch and Marie got an Orange Crush, both of which were on point.

Ricky Wise’s band, Fat Tuesday Inc., played for us at The Admiral’s Cup this past Sunday. They normally play at this bar regularly, but due to the pandemic, this was their first gig back. The amazing and super-talented Ricky is one of my friends from high school and his voice is incredible. Take a listen below!

Around the corner from The Admiral’s Cup is the best shopping in town. Some of our favorites along Thames Street are Su Casa and Fells Point Surf Co. They require you to use hand sanitizer as soon as you step foot in their doors. They both close around 5PM so get there early!
